JUMP SMART

Want to develop physical and emotional strength to help manage life’s challenges?

Come and try for free, no pressure introduction session.

Would you like support for your child / young person / student to improve and develop:
Social connections?   Concentration?   Self-esteem?   Classroom focus?
Exploring new activities?   Coordination?

Jump Smart is a program of movement and sensory development. It is not pitched as therapy as not every family or student want therapy, some just want to participate in activity. Sessions are based on developing the brain and body together. Working on basic physical movements and adding sensory experiences; this supports the brain to become more mature, integrated, and efficient.

Jump Smart started in 2020 as a fledgling idea to offer students with an alternative to mainstream sports. I have been delighted to see the growth and ongoing  support from the community.

There are now 2 bases in operation; Rangiora (Empire Athletics) and Christchurch (Circotica circus school). Both facilities offer a safe space to move and be yourself. Sessions are typically run in an individual setting as most students thrive with individualised support and tailored activities. The fun and motivating equipment promotes a place to explore the joys of movement and physical activity.  In this environment we work on physical, social, and emotional skills in a safe and dynamic way.

Benefits of the sessions?
Physical improvements in:
  • balance and coordination
  • body and spatial awareness
