Succeed Physio is run by Physiotherapist Kate Wallace.
Created out of a passion to support and help more people across the community succeed in their goals.

Kate ​Wallace
Kate trained in the UK and graduated from her Physiotherapy degree in the South West UK; she spent initial working years in the UK National Health System before moving to New Zealand in 2006; looking for a more active outdoors life (was supposed to be a year). Kate lives in North Canterbury with son Monty and husband David. The are multiple neurodiverse aspects within the family, this has supported and influenced Kate's professional lens. 

Kate's physiotherapy career has seen experience over a wide range of fields; Neurological Rehabilitation, Spinal Cord Research Team, Residential Care, Falls prevention programs, manual handling training, intellectual and physical disability, peadiactrics, Special Education, PMP (perceptual motor programs), Riding for the Disabled Association, swimming coaching and Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation programs. A passion for the wonderful world of sensory processing lead to Kate completing a post-graduate degree in Advanced Sensory Integration. This extra layer to clinical practice has helped to develop a deep undersatnding of the body and sensory processing differernces that can occur and their significant impact on daily function.

​Kate's passion for physiotherapy and sensory focuses on supporting people to achieve dreams and ambitions, advocating for those who need support and always keen to push for more. Kate holds a strong passion to improve the inclusive nature of schools, education and general attitudes. Everyone should be supported to get what they need to succeed. 

Kate works across Canterbury supporting clients in many ways and this inculdes the special education department in Papanui High School (KimiOra), and supporting riders at Christchurch Riding for the Disabled. 

Kate lives in North Canterbury with her family and when not working, can be found on her bike, out with the horses, walking with the family or doing more study.
